Netball Runners for Women

Women's netball shoes have a lot to handle in a single quarter. You land, pivot on your grounded foot, get the ball away inside three seconds and drive into space for the next pass, all before you have time to think about your feet. This New Balance collection brings the women's netball range together, so you can compare styles side by side for club rounds, representative trials or a weeknight social comp. Open any style for sizing and product details, then pick the pair that feels right. Need the men's range instead? Browse our men's netball shoes.

Netball Shoes for Women FAQs

What to look for in ladies' netball shoes?

Think back to your last game and where your feet felt it most. If you were sliding on the stop, put grip at the top of the list. If a sharp change of direction left your foot feeling unsettled, look for a pair that holds you steady through the midfoot and heel. And if your legs were heavy by the final quarter, give cushioning for all those landings more weight. The right pair of ladies' netball shoes should feel secure the moment you lace up, well before the first centre pass.

Are women's netball runners the same as women's netball shoes?

Yes, it is the same thing with a different name. Runners is what a lot of us call sneakers, so women's netball runners, netball sneakers and netball trainers all describe a pair you choose for the court. The name matters less than how a pair feels when you stop, land and change direction, which is what netball asks of your feet all game.

How do I find my size in women's netball shoes?

Start with your feet, not the number on your last pair. Our size guide has a women's chart with foot length in centimetres and inches, plus a printable measuring tool, so you can match your measurement instead of guessing. Measure both feet, because they can differ, and go by the larger one. Then check the product page for the sizes available in the style you like.

Can you wear the same women's netball shoes on both indoor and outdoor courts?

It depends on the shoe and on where you play most. Outdoor courts tend to be tougher on soles than indoor floors, and many indoor venues have their own rules about footwear, so it pays to check with yours before you buy. Read the product details for each style, and if your season moves between the two, some players keep separate indoor netball shoes and outdoor netball shoes.

How can you tell when your netball shoes have lost their grip?

Your feet will usually tell you before your eyes do. If you start skidding on stops you used to nail, or your pivots feel slippery on a court that has not changed, take a closer look at the soles. Tread that looks worn smooth, especially under the ball of your foot and around the heel, is a good clue. A dusty sole can make grip feel worse than it is, so give them a wipe first, then judge.

Should you break in new netball shoes before game day?

New shoes and game day are a risky pairing. Give a new pair time before it counts: try them on at home, lace them as you would on court and walk around, stepping from side to side. You are feeling for pinching, rubbing or heel movement while the stakes are low. If something feels off, it is far easier to deal with it early than in the first quarter.
