Netball Shoes for Men

Men's netball shoes should start with fit, because few things pull your attention off the game like a heel that slips or a toe that hits the end on every stop. This New Balance collection brings the men's netball range together, so you can compare styles and shop with your own feet in mind. Open the product details for sizing and choose the pair that feels secure before you step on court. It is the same starting point for a men's competition, a mixed team or a Tuesday night social comp. Men's Netball Shoes FAQs

What to look for in mens netball shoes?

Fit comes first, because a shoe you keep thinking about is a shoe that is getting in your way. Look for a heel that stays put, a midfoot that feels held without pinching and enough room for your toes when you stop. After that, think about the grip you need for the courts you play on and how the cushioning feels through repeated landings. Compare the men's netball shoes on this page with those things in mind.

Can you wear the same netball shoes to training and on game day?

Many players do, and it makes sense. Training is where you learn how a pair grips and turns, so pulling on the same shoes for game day means one less thing to think about when it counts. Check the product details for how each style is meant to be used, and keep your netball training shoes for the court, since other surfaces and activities wear soles differently.

How do you stop your heel slipping in netball shoes?

It is one of the more annoying things to feel mid-game, and it is often fixable. Lace snugly through the midfoot, then use the top two eyelets for a heel lock: thread each lace through the top eyelet on its own side to leave a small loop, cross the laces over and pass each end through the opposite loop, then pull snug. If it still slips, look again at your size and your socks.

What size should you buy if you are between sizes in men's netball shoes?

Go for the larger of the two. Our size and width guide says to choose the larger size if you are between sizes, and it suits netball, where your toes take the brunt of every hard stop. Fit to your larger foot too, since feet can differ by as much as a full size. If your men's netball shoes feel a little roomy at the heel, a snug lacing pattern and your game socks can help.

Do your socks change how netball shoes fit?

They do, and it catches plenty of people out. A thick pair of game socks takes up more room than thin everyday ones, so a pair that felt right when you tried it on at home can feel snug on court. Try men's netball shoes on in the socks you actually play in, or something close. If you swap between thin and thick socks over the season, check the fit in both.
